What is a Grand Marshal?

After Santa, the Redding Lighted Christmas Parade begins with our designated Grand Marshal; someone to lead in the opening band and start the parade off right! Each year the Active 20-30 Club recognizes an individual for the positive impact they've had in our community, be that through their business, philanthropic work, or by generally going above and beyond.

As you can imagine, this is a difficult task, as Redding is home to some amazing leaders!!)

2022 Redding 20-30 Club Past Actives

Past Actives

This year we are celebrating the Redding 20-30 Club's Past Actives. To be a Past Active, Club members must have been actively participating in our Club for at least 7 years. In this time they would have helped with fundraising over $500,000, helped over 500 children in need with our Back to School Shopping Spree, stuffed over 2,000 eggs for our Easter Egg Hunt, helped decorate cardboard cars for kids in our Big Race, gone Christmas shopping for foster kids, helped Veterans and their children learn how to fish during our Frank Sawyer Memorial Fishing Day, laughed and cried while hosting our annual Sundial Film Festival, and might have dressed up as Santa during the Redding Lighted Christmas Parade, as well as volunteering for events put on by other organizations including: Crab Feed for One Safe Place, Red Bluff Round Up, Redding Rodeo, Asphalt Cowboy's annual BBQ in the Park,  Rotary's Haunted House, and the Turkey Trot.
Other non annual events that the Past Actives would have participated in include; Donating $10,000 to Dignity's new Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, building a new playground at Alta Mesa Park, and participated in both National and International Conventions.
We sincerely thank these individuals for giving back to our community.
